Polymer Coverslip These products have the ibidi Polymer Coverslip #1.5 bottom. This #1.5 bottom has a thickness of 180 µm (+10/–5 µm) and meets all of the optical requirements for microscopes. It is suitable for various imaging techniques: phase contrast, DIC, widefield fluorescence, confocal microscopy, two-photon microscopy, FRAP, FRET, FLIM, LSFM, and more. The ibidi Polymer Coverslip is compatible with many common immersion oils. Browse through our list of compatible immersion oils. More information: ibidi Polymer Coverslip.

Glass Coverslip These products have a Glass Coverslip #1.5H bottom.* This bottom has a thickness of 170 µm (+/–5 μm) and is made of D 263 M Schott glass. It has been specifically developed for TIRF, super-resolution microscopy, and single molecule microscopy. More information: Glass Coverslip bottom.
*Please note: The ibidi Glass Bottom Dish 35 mm has a #1.5 glass coverslip bottom with a thickness of 170 µm (+20/–10 µm).

Glass Slide The bottom of these products is a standard glass slide with a thickness of 1 mm. After mounting using the coverslip technique, the products are suitable for upright and inverted microscopy. More information: standard glass slide.
Sticky These products are without a coverslip, but have a sticky surface for the application of your own specific substrate. After removing the protection foil, you can stick any substrate of your choice to the bottom.
Bioinert The Bioinert surface of these products completely inhibits cell-surface interaction and is ideal for the short-term and long-term culture and microscopy of spheroids, organoids, embryoid bodies, and suspension cells. Bioinert is coated on the ibidi Polymer Coverslip, which provides excellent optical properties for high-resolution microscopy.
Inverted Microscopy These products are used with inverted microscopy techniques. The cells are observed through the bottom of a cell culture vessel. For successful inverted microscopy, the bottom must have the highest optical features, which are provided by the ibidi Polymer Coverslip and the ibidi Glass Coverslip.
Upright Microscopy These products are used with upright microscopy techniques. The cells are observed from the top through the lid of a petri dish or a coverslip.
Adherent Cells These products are optimized for the direct culture of many adherent cell types and various cell-based assays.
Spheroids and Organoids These products inhibit cell attachment and are optimized for assays with organoids, embryoid bodies, and spheroids.
Suspension Cells These products inhibit cell attachment and are suitable for assays with suspension cells.
3D Cell Culture These products are suitable for three-dimensional (3D) cell culture (e.g., in a gel matrix).
Super Resolution These products are optimized for single molecule detection, TIRF, and super-resolution microscopy techniques, such as STED, SSIM, RESOLFT, PALM, FPALM, and (d)STORM.
Fluorescence Microscopy These products are suitable for fluorescence microscopy, e.g., immunofluorescence assays.
Flow Assays These products are suitable for cell culture under flow (e.g., for the simulation of physiologic conditions in blood vessels, rolling and adhesion assays, or dynamic assays with perfusion of culture medium).
Wound Healing and Migration Assays These products are suitable for wound healing and migration assays.
Angiogenesis Assays These products are suitable for angiogenesis and tube formation assays.
