At ibidi, we take our responsibility towards sustainability seriously and take measures that go beyond the required minimal standards given by law. As a company that designs, produces, and sells consumables and devices, we are aware that we leave an impact on the environment.

We are also actively working to improve our acting in the three dimensions of environmental, social, and governmental sustainability:

  • ibidi works in a way that conserves resources wherever possible.
  • ibidi takes its role in supply chain care seriously. Find more information here: Commitment to Supply Chain Care
  • in vitro assays replace animal testing in many areas of basic and medical research, and therefore contribute to the implementation of EU Directive 2010/63/EU: Protection of animals in research
  • Using microfluidics allows for a drastic reduction in work volumes of toxic or precious biological samples/substances (e.g. FBS).
  • ibidi replaced the plastic wrap around the product boxes with a quality seal.
  • ibidi uses renewable energy generated by the solar panels installed on our headquarters' roof.
  • ibidi provides a recycling cabinet for employees to depose of their used electronic devices.
  • Most employees take public transport or ride their bikes to work.
  • Sharing-Economy:
    - ibidi does not provide personalized company cars— one company car is shared by the employees
    - ibidi provides a cabinet where employees can swap personal items with each other that they don’t use anymore
  • ibidi focuses on reducing plastic packaging materials when shipping products.
