Why is my ibidi sticky-Slide leaking?

ibidi sticky-Slides work better with flexible substrates, such as polymer or glass coverslips (with a thickness of 160 - 190 µm), than a standard glass slide (with a thickness of 0.8 - 1 mm). The more rigid the substrate, the more tension that builds up after attaching the sticky-Slide. Therefore, it is very important to take extra care when assembling the slide to prevent it from leaking.

Here are some tips for preventing leakage:

• Use clamps or the ibidi Clamp for sticky-Slides (#80040 + corresponding adapter) to press the two parts together.
• Increase the time that the slide is pressed onto the substrate.
• Let the assembled slide sit at a temperature of 20°-40°C overnight before using it.
