ibidi Labware | Microscopy

What is the ibiTreat surface and what experiments can you use it for?

ibiTreat is a physical surface modification of the ibidi Polymer Coverslip that makes the surface hydrophilic and adhesive to virtually all cell types. It is available for many µ-Slides, µ-Dishes, and µ-Plates. The surface is comparable to that of standard tissue culture-treated cell culture flasks and Petri dishes.

Most cells grow well on ibiTreat without the need of any protein coating, making it the ideal surface for a variety of assays using adherent cells (e.g., cell morphology studies using immunofluorescence staining, migration assays, chemotaxis assays, flow experiments, and many more). Among the ibidi products that are cited in thousands of publications, labware with ibiTreat surface bottom is the most common. You can find an overview about the different ibidi surfaces on our Application Website "The Surfaces and Coatings of the ibidi Chambers".
