ibidi Receives „BEST OF“ Industry Award 2012 for the µ-Slide Chemotaxis
Munich, Germany, May 22, 2012 - ibidi GmbH, a supplier of products used for analyzing living cells, received a „BEST OF” INDUSTRIEPREIS 2012” for their µ-Slide Chemotaxis.
For the past seven years, the publishing company “Huber Verlag für Neue Medien GmbH”, under the patronage of the “Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (Association of German Engineers)”, has awarded prizes to companies that offer exceptional commercial, social, technological, and ecological benefits. This year, ibidi has received a „BEST OF” INDUSTRIEPREIS 2012”, in the Biotechnology category, for their µ-Slide Chemotaxis. They also received a top 10 ranking in this category, out of more than 500 total applicants.
The µ-Slide Chemotaxis allows for the optical analysis of the movement of chemotactical active cells and aides in the research for discovering effective agents for cancer therapies. There are two product variations of the µ-Slide Chemotaxis, and both are optimized for different applications. The µ-Slide Chemotaxis 2D is ideal for the analysis of adherent cells on 2D surfaces, such as cancer cells or endothelial cells. The µ-Slide Chemotaxis 3D makes it possible to additionally investigate non-adherent cells in gel matrices, like lymphocytes.

ibidi mit dem „BEST OF“ Industriepreis 2012 für das µ-Slide Chemotaxis prämiert
München, Deutschland, 22. Mai 2012 - ibidi GmbH, ein Anbieter von Produkten für die Biomikroskopie, erhält den „BEST OF“ INDUSTRIEPREIS 2012 für das µ-Slide Chemotaxis.
Unter der Schirmherrschaft des Vereins Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) zeichnet der Huber Verlag für Neue Medien GmbH Unternehmen mit hohem wirtschaftlichem, gesellschaftlichem, technologischen und ökologischem Nutzen aus. ibidi erhält den „BEST OF“ INDUSTRIEPREIS 2012 für das µ-Slide Chemotaxis und gehört durch die Auszeichnung zur Spitzengruppe unter mehr als 500 eingereichten Bewerbungen.
Das µ-Slide Chemotaxis erlaubt die optische Analyse der Bewegung von chemotaktisch aktiven Zellen und ermöglicht damit, effektiv Wirkstoffe für Krebstherapien zu finden. Dabei sind die beiden Produktvarianten des µ-Slide Chemotaxis auf unterschiedliche Anwendungen optimiert. Das µ-Slide Chemotaxis 2D ist ideal für die Untersuchung adhärenter Zellen, wie z.B. Krebszellen oder Endothelzellen. Mit dem µ-Slide Chemotaxis 3D können darüber hinaus auch nicht-adhärente, in ein Gel eingebettete Zellen, wie z.B. Lymphozyten, untersucht werden.
