ibidi Updates the µ-Plate Family for High-Throughput Imaging

Munich, Germany, November 28, 2023—Responding to high demand, ibidi has expanded their popular µ-Plate 96 Well to include both square and round wells. By adding the round well option to the µ-Plate series, ibidi offers a new choice for high-throughput imaging systems.
ibidi µ-Plates are available in 24, 96, or 384 well formats and cater to diverse life science applications. They are compatible with automation in academic and pharmaceutical settings and are designed to enhance the workflow of detailed, high throughput imaging studies.
All µ-Plates come with unparalleled well and plate flatness to reduce out-of-focus issues, which are often encountered during high-magnification imaging. Designed to meet ANSI/SLAS standard dimensions, the µ-Plate series ensures seamless integration with a variety of robotic systems, automated equipment, and plate readers for efficient high throughput screening.
With its exceptional cell adhesion and optical quality, the tissue culture-treated (ibiTreat) #1.5 ibidi Polymer Coverslip bottom—for the 24 Well and 96 Well formats—improves imaging applications, such as high-resolution fluorescence, confocal microscopy, and live cell imaging. To meet the needs of advanced high-throughput methods, both the µ-Plate 384 Well and a version of the 96 Well feature a #1.5H glass bottom suitable for specialized techniques such as TIRF and super-resolution microscopy.
