The ibidi Multiwell Plate Family is Expanding—Again!

November 27, 2025, Munich, Germany—ibidi introduces the new µ-Plate 12 Well, the latest addition to the ibidi µ-Plate family that is designed for advanced cell culture and microscopy.
Building on the success of the existing µ-Plate formats, the µ-Plate 12 Well offers researchers a versatile, high-quality platform for moderate-throughput workflows. With twelve wells per plate, it strikes an ideal balance between well number and individual well size. It’s perfect for experiments that demand more replicates or conditions than plates with a larger well size can accommodate, without the need for high-throughput formats. Like all ibidi µ-Plates, the 12 well format meets the ANSI/SLAS standard dimensions, and is ideal for automation and screening applications.
The µ-Plate 12 Well is available with either a #1.5 ibidi Polymer Coverslip Bottom or a high-precision #1.5H Glass Coverslip Bottom. Both options offer brilliant optical quality combined with optimal cell culture conditions. Designed for microscopy, all the ibidi µ-Plates feature a homogeneous field of view, due to an excellent inner well and whole plate flatness, and have black walls that reduce well-to-well crosstalk.

München, Deutschland, 27. November 2025 – ibidi stellt die neue µ-Plate 12 Well vor. Ein weiteres Mitglied der ibidi µ-Platten Familie, welche für herausragende Zellkultur und Mikroskopie entwickelt wurde.
Aufbauend auf dem Erfolg bestehender ibidi µ-Platten, bietet die µ-Plate 12 Well Forschenden nun ein vielseitiges und hochwertiges Format für Workflows mit moderatem Durchsatz. Für die Mikroskopie entwickelt, verfügen alle ibidi µ-Platten über ein homogenes Sichtfeld, durch eine hervorragende Ebenheit sowohl innerhalb der Wells als auch über die gesamte Platte hinweg, sowie über schwarze Wände um den Well-to-Well-Crosstalk zu reduzieren.
