The New µ-Slide 32 Well: Assay Development and High-Throughput Microscopy Combined

October 22, 2026, Munich, Germany: ibidi introduces the new µ-Slide 32 Well, a chambered coverslip that combines the footprint of a microscopy slide with the well geometry of a 384 well plate. Designed for a seamless transition from assay development and optimization of cell-based assays and microscopy protocols to automated high-throughput workflows.
With 32 individual wells corresponding to the well geometry of a 384 well plate, the µ-Slide 32 Well enables researchers to efficiently test multiple conditions, concentrations, or replicates while minimizing cell numbers and reagent use. The 384-well-compatible geometry supports transferring optimized assay conditions to full-size 384-well plates, enabling a more efficient transition from small-scale assay development to automated high-content screening, reducing the number of wells and material needed during early assay development.
Cells can be cultured, treated, fixed, stained, and imaged on the same slide, making it ideal for establishing and optimizing both cell-based assays and microscopy readouts before applying the protocols in automated high-content workflows.

Das neue µ-Slide 32 Well: Assayentwicklung für automatisierte High-Throughput-Mikroskopie
München, Deutschland, 22. Oktober 2026: ibidi stellt das neue µ-Slide 32 Well vor. Dieses kombiniert das Format eines Objektträgers mit der Well-Geometrie einer 384 Well Platte. Dadurch lassen sich Assays zunächst ressourcenschonend und effizient entwickeln und anschließend direkt in automatisierte High-Throughput-Workflows überführen.
Mit seinen 32 einzelnen Wells, deren Geometrie der einer 384 Well Platte entspricht, ermöglicht das µ-Slide 32 Well das Testen verschiedener Bedingungen, Konzentrationen oder Replikate bei gleichzeitig geringem Zell- und Reagenzienbedarf. Anschließend können die im µ-Slide 32 Well etablierten Assaybedingungen direkt auf eine 384 Well Platte übertragen werden.
