MV 71: Tips & Tricks for Using the µ-Slide I Luer 3D

What Is the µ-Slide I Luer 3D?

The µ-Slide I Luer 3D is a microfluidic channel slide designed for 3D cell culture under controlled flow conditions. It features a central channel that can be filled with hydrogels such as collagen or Matrigel, allowing cells to grow within a physiologically relevant extracellular matrix. Integrated Luer connectors enable easy connection to pumps, including the ibidi Pump System for precise perfusion and shear stress control.

What Is the µ-Slide I Luer 3D USed For?

The slide is used to establish perfused 3D tissue models, where cells can be seeded within the matrix or along the channel to mimic in vivo-like structures. Typical applications include endothelial and vascular models, tumor microenvironment studies, immune cell migration and transmigration assays, drug transport and permeability testing, and advanced organ-on-chip experiments.
