MV 27: Cell Culture and Microscopy Using the µ-Slide I Luer

In this video, we demonstrate how to prepare the ibidi µ-Slide I 0.6 Luer for cell culture and subsequent microscopy.

The ibidi µ-Slide I Luer Channel Slides are specifically designed for cell culture under flow applications, but they can also be used for standard imaging and immunofluorescence assays.

Key Features of the µ-Slide I Luer Series

  • Available in four channel heights (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 mm) for different applications
  • Large, uniform observation area for high-resolution imaging
  • Easy connection to tubing and pumps via standard Luer adapters
  • Defined shear stress conditions (calculate with the free ibidi Flow Calculator)
  • Compatible with the ibidi Pump System for long-term perfusion experiments

Applications

  • Simulation of blood vessels with endothelial cells
  • Static and flow-based cultivation of adherent cells
  • Long-term live cell imaging with controlled shear stress
  • High-resolution microscopy of fixed and living cells (phase contrast & fluorescence)
