After several rounds of replicating and reinfecting neighboring cells, Chlamydia muridarum (Hsp60, green) forms a plaque in a monolayer of HeLa 229 cells (DAPI, blue; Giantin, red). Cells were seeded in ibidi μ-Dishes, infected with a low dose of bacteria and incubated for 5 days using a liquid overlay medium.
