Live Saccharomyces cerevisiae colony transferred to a μ-Slide 2 Well Glass Bottom, and imaged on a Leica SP5 inverted microscope. The presence or absence of different fluorescent plasmids in cells indicates varying metabolic activity between cells in the colony.
