Motor neurons differentiated from induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC) derived from an ALS patient. Live neurons cultured in an ibidi µ-Dish 35 mm, high were imaged using a Nikon A1R-Si laser scanning confocal microscope. Mitotracker Green (green channel) labels all mitochondria; actively metabolizing mitochondria are visualized using tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester (TMRE, red channel). Cellular outlines are imaging using Differential Interference Contract Microscopy (Transmitted light channel).
