ibidi Happy Cell Competition and Giveaway

"ibidi changed my life" is probably the most motivating testimonial we have ever received from a customer. It has inspired us to provide innovative solutions for happy cells and happy scientists for the past 20 years, and will continue to be for the years to come.

We would like to hear from more customers about ibidi's impact on your own work lives!

Share Your Story to Win

Have you also experienced a special "ibidi moment" in your lab? For example, did your experiment or microscopy images turn out perfect because of our µ-Slides or µ-Dishes or because of the advice of our tech support?

"Thank you for your product and making it possible and easier for me to perform fast microscopic imaging on single isolated atrial cardiomyocytes. I have used the ibidi µ-Slide 2 Well, ibiTreat, which provided good adhesion for these cardiomyocytes. Your product has helped to enhance the cell viability and imaging time."

ibidi µ-Slide 8 Well Movie:

Jason Holsapple, Münster University Hospital, Germany

ibidi Success Story:

"When I was doing my master's program in the UK, I had a complicated and laborious set of experiments planned that required confocal microscopy. Most protocols seem to want cells grown on coverslips and mounted on slides for this, which would have been an all but impossible amount of work for the number of variables we wanted to test. Then, someone suggested the ibidi micro slide 8-well chambers. The relief I experienced only grew when it came time to do the imaging—beautiful, sharp pictures of cells that were minimally disturbed after fixation. These images were the proudest section of my thesis. Now, as a PhD student in Germany, I am continuing to make use of these slides to image immune cells that are difficult to isolate and fix. I have used other manufacturers' slides for microscopy, but nothing comes close to the quality I get from ibidi!"

ibidi Success Story:

"I used the ibidi µ-Slide VI 0.1, ibiTreat during my PhD, and their easy-use really helped my research go further. Thanks to ibidi, one of my fluorescence microscopy pictures made it onto the cover of the famous Blood journal (volume 137, issue 16), which made me and my team really proud. The image shows fluorescently labeled neutrophil extracellular traps, showing total DNA (blue), histone H3cit (green), and myeloperoxidase (pink) after perfusion of primed neutrophils at 100 s–1 in ibidi flow chambers."

ibidi Success Story:

"When I started my PhD, we used glass bottom dishes with home-made cell inserts and an old stage-top incubator. It took some convincing, but little by little, I managed to convince my supervisor to switch to ibidi. Now, our cells are much happier on the ibidi coated µ-dishes! The culture inserts do not leak, compared to our PDMS home-made ones. And, we do not experience evaporation anymore, since using the ibidi top-stage incubator. It makes a huge difference for overnight experiments! Thank you, ibidi!

Matthias Richter, Advanced Light Microscopy, Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine, Berlin, Germany

Personal ibidi Story:

"We have been using the ibidi portfolio (dishes, chambers, slides, and heating unit) for high resolution microscopy in our technology platform for a very long time. Since we got the ibidi Showbox from you, we have all items available in project meetings and get so many "aha" effects from the scientists. Before that, the overview was missing the possibilities that the variety of ibidi slides could provide for their upcoming projects.

Because we can now give out samples, the scientists leave the project meeting with a smile on their faces and can start their experiments immediately."

ibidi Success Story:

"ibidi changed my life when... a whole dataset was about to be ruined, since the plates I was using so far were discontinued, but I found the versatile ibidi μ-Slides (8 Well) to complete it! I will never forget the first free samples I tried... I got my PhD in time...Thanks!"
