History
ibidi was founded in 2001 as a spin-off from the Technische Universität München (TUM) and the Center of Nanoscience (CeNS) at the University of Munich (LMU). Since its inception, the company has continuously developed and is now a leading provider for innovative functional cell-based assay technologies utilized in academic research, applied testing, biotechnology and pharma. Throughout its development, ibidi has remained a privately held company.
Milestones and Highlights:

2008 | ibidi launches the Culture-Insert for invasion assays and scratch assays. |
2007 | ibidi releases a new µ-Slide Chemotaxis for the optical analysis of slow migrating cells, such as chemotactic active cancer cells in gradients. |
2006 | With the ibidi Pump System, ibidi launches an important tool for cancer and atherosclerosis research, designed for the cultivation of endothelial cells under perfusion. |
2006 | ibidi,LLC. is founded in Wisconsin, USA. |
2005 | With the µ-Dish Family, ibidi expands its product range for high resolution microscopy and excellent cell culture. |
2004 | ibidi releases the µ-Slide family based on the µ-Slide I technology. The different µ-Slide designs are optimized for specific cell-based applications. |
2002 | ibidi launches the µ-Slide I, a novel product which allows both cell culturing and high resolution microscopy on a single slide. The high optical quality of the µ–Slide I allows it to be utilized for cell-based assays in research and high throughput applications. |
